Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: 08/01/2025

Welcome to West County Paramedic Association. These Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") govern your use of our website (www.westcountyparamedics.org), our services, and any membership programs ("Membership"). By accessing or using our website, services, or membership options, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Services Provided

West County Paramedic Association offers emergency medical services (EMS) through ambulance transportation and related services to individuals who sign up for our Membership programs. These services may include emergency medical care and transport to medical facilities.

2. Membership Terms

  • Eligibility:
Membership is available to individuals and families who are residents within our service area. By signing up, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements and that the information provided is accurate and up to date.
  • Plans & Pricing:
Our membership plans vary by individual or household. Membership plans are available on an annual basis. Detailed information on membership levels, services, and pricing can be found on our Membership page. Membership fees are subject to change; members will be notified of any price adjustments prior to the renewal date.
  • Automatic Renewal:
Unless canceled, your membership will automatically renew at the end of each term (monthly or annually), and you will be billed according to your plan’s renewal price. You may cancel at any time before your next billing cycle by contacting us at (814)774-3915.
  • Refund Policy:
Membership fees are non-refundable after the initial payment is processed, except as required by law or if services were not rendered. If you cancel your membership before the renewal date, you will not receive a refund for any portion of your current membership term.

3. Scope of Service

  • Service Availability:
Membership with West County Paramedic Association provides access to emergency medical services, but response times and availability depend on factors such as proximity, local regulations, and service demand. We make every effort to provide rapid response times, but delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, such as heavy traffic or multiple emergencies.
  • Response Times:
While we strive to respond as quickly as possible, we cannot guarantee immediate service in all circumstances. Response times may vary depending on location, traffic, and the urgency of the situation.
  • Service Limitations:
Membership does not cover all services, such as refusal of care, lift assists, or non-emergency transportation. Members are responsible for any charges incurred for medical treatment provided by hospitals or other healthcare facilities. EMS services are limited to the scope of the membership plan.
  • Emergency vs. Non-Emergency:
Our services are primarily designed for emergency situations. If you require non-emergency transport or other non-urgent medical assistance, please review your plan details to determine eligibility for such services.

4. Health & Medical Disclaimer

  • Consult Your Physician:
You are responsible for consulting with your healthcare provider before using EMS services, especially if you have pre-existing medical conditions that may impact your ability to receive EMS care.
  • Medical Treatment:
Emergency medical care and transport will be provided by licensed medical professionals in accordance with their training and protocols. However, West County Paramedic Association does not assume liability for the quality of medical treatment provided by healthcare professionals or facilities.
  • Medical Decision-Making:
The decision to transport a patient or administer specific treatments is made by licensed medical personnel based on their professional judgment and medical protocols. We are not liable for medical decisions made during an emergency.

5. User Responsibilities

  • Accurate Information:
You agree to provide accurate and complete information when signing up for Membership, including personal, contact, and medical details necessary for EMS services. You are responsible for ensuring your information remains current and accurate.
  • Abuse of Services:
Membership is intended solely for emergency medical purposes. Any misuse of the services, such as requesting unnecessary transport or fraudulently claiming emergencies, may result in suspension or termination of your membership.

6. Liability & Indemnification

  • Limitation of Liability:
To the fullest extent permitted by law, West County Paramedic Association will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or services. Our liability is limited to the total membership fee paid by the member for the current term.
  • Indemnification:
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless West County Paramedic Association its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, damages, or legal proceedings resulting from your misuse of the services or breach of this Agreement.

7. Privacy & Data Protection
